THE Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) on Friday assured the public that its funds were stable despite receiving zero government subsidy in the 2025 national budget.
\r\r

"Despite the zero subsidy, the benefit packages of PhilHealth will not be affected; in fact, we will increase that and we can assure you that we will continue the service benefits of PhilHealth," PhilHealth President Emmanuel Ledesma said.
\r\r

PhilHealth Senior Vice President for Fund Management Sector Renato Limsiaco Jr. said the state health insurer's P492 billion investment portfolio was more than adequate to fulfill its functions.
\r\r

"PhilHealth has enough funds to cover whatever payment that we will release in 2025," Limsiaco added.
\r\r
