Hudson's family shared the heartbreaking news on his personal Instagram account, stating, \"Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.\"<\/p>\r\r\r<\/figcaption>\r<\/figure>\r\r
The announcement also revealed plans for a Celebration of Life service, scheduled for Dec. 28 at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Homewood, Alabama. The family encouraged donations to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers.<\/p>\r\r
Hudson's acting career included prominent roles in both film and television. He gained recognition for portraying the young version of Ansel Elgort's character in \"Baby Driver\" (2017).
