FIRST time professional volleyball head coach Norman Miguel wants to see more growth in character with his team Chery Tiggo.<\/p>\r\r
Chery Tiggo bounced back from a loss after fending off the Galeries Tower in five sets, 30-28, 20-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-8, in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday.<\/p>\r\r
After winning a game via stretch, Miguel was proud of the team's showing of maturity, especially with a different core of players.<\/p>\r\r
Chery Tiggo finished the year with a 4-2 win-loss record in the six-month-long tournament despite losing top scorers EJ and Eya Laure.<\/p>\r\r
\"It was difficult for us coaches, it's like we're solving an equation in mathematics. Who will we put? Since we need to have an effective shuffle, so the changes in our lineup we really worked on our shuffling,\" Miguel said.<\/p>\r\r
Propelling the National University (NU) to a championship, the Chery Tiggo head coach said that it is still a learning process for him.<\/p>\r\r
\"I'll be honest, and this is not off the record, I am every lucky to have this coaching staff because we just share all that we know, and we exchange different feedback. I am grateful also to have guidance and that's how healthy we are as a team,\" he added.<\/p>\r\r
Pauline Gaston and Ces Robles served as the two prowess of the team after putting up 21 and 14 points, respectively in the five-set game against Galeries.<\/p>\r\r
Aby Mara\u00f1o, Shaya Adorador, and Galang chipped in 15, 13, and 11 points, respectively, showing that it was all a team effort.<\/p>\r\r
Chery Tiggo looks to top its previous fourth-place finish in the PVL All-Filipino Conference.<\/p>\r\r
