Sam St Michael I'm also considering design work for important causes... I guess if i felt like it made sense to donate cash, i'll donate my time. Am I donating cash to an Apple or Microsoft out of the goodness of my heart? I'd rather spend this time learning...

Most companies make interns do work for a full-time employee because they want 'free labor '. Even after the internship, they don't want to employ you as a junior, even after doing extra working hours ð¼. But not all companies but some.

4yBe warned. Good free: Speak somewhere or equity. Bad free: Too many big players (big fintech brands and other startups) unethically make designers do real challenges towards interviews on real problems they have, as opposed to small tests. Soul destroying. Not ethical. Refuse.
