A journey of sweat, tears, and next-level skills

Hi everyone,

my name is Carsten Schildknecht and im CTIO at shiftavenue. Today, I want to share the rollercoaster ride we experienced while designing and developing our homepage using Next.js, React, Sanity.io, and a whole lot of determination. This will be the start of an article series, which you should definitely not miss.

At first we started to define our goals and the target audience, it has to be developed mobile first and we didn't want to use Wordpress. We aimed to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and definitly a nice look! Even those decision took some time and numerous iterations. Our commitment was to create something truly exceptional.

It all started with a spark of inspiration when we bought an eye-catching design on 99Designs. Little did we know that turning that design into reality would take us on an exhilarating adventure!

We decided to get our hands dirty and enlisted the help of talented professionals on Fiverr for a first draft of our dream homepage. While they did an amazing job, we knew that we needed to inject our unique brand personality and make it truly our own.

Cue the rework!

Armed with our creativity and the unwavering belief in our vision, we took the design into our own hands. We meticulously fine-tuned every element, ensuring a seamless user experience and a visually stunning interface. It wasn't always easy; there were late nights, coding challenges, and moments that tested our patience. But oh boy, was it worth it!

Now, our homepage is a masterpiece that reflects our brand's essence and captivates visitors from the first click. Thanks to Next.js, React, and Sanity.io, we've achieved the perfect blend of aesthetics and functionality.

But let's not forget the most crucial ingredient in this recipe for success – our amazing team who poured their heart and soul into this project. Together, we conquered obstacles and turned our sweat and tears into triumph.
