National Immunization Program for children
National Immunization Program for children is a project to provide immunization services for infectious diseases at no cost to the nearest clinics. National immunization program for children supports the total cost of 17 vaccinations.
Summary of National Immunization Program for children
- Eligibility : Children under 12 years of age (born in 2006 or later as of 2019)
- Supported contents: Support for all immunization costs of government-designated vaccine
- Supported vaccines: 17 species
- BCG(Percutaneous), Hepatitis Type B, DTaP(Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis), Td(Tetanus/Diphtheria), Tdap(Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis), IPV(Polio), DTaP-IPV(Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio), DTaP-IPV/Hib(Diphtheria/Tetanus/Pertussis/Polio/Haemophilus influenzae Type B), Hib(Haemophilus influenzae Type B), Pneumococcal vaccine, MMR(Measles/Mumps/Rubella), Varicella, Japanese Encephalitis(inactivated vaccine/activated vaccine), Hepatitis Type A, HPV(Human Papillomavirus), Flu(Influenza)
Immunization Procedure
- Check the designated medical institution through the NIP internet website(https://nip.kdca.go.kr) or NIP mobile application(services are provided only in Korean language)
- Visit the designated medical institution with your identification card (Parent(Next of kin or Protector)'s ID card, health insurance card, etc.) and baby's immunization record.
- Arrive at the medical institution and fill out the screening questionnaire for immunization.
- Your doctor will be vaccinated after the preliminary diagnosis.
- If you agree to SMS service, you can get information about next vaccination schedule by SMS.
