Our hollow box beams are faux only in the sense that they are hollow. All of them are made from solid wood with surfaces prepared just like they did in the days before modern machinery.

- Available Textures
- Hand scrapped. A technique used to smooth rough lumber. There are several stages that can be utilized to achieve finer and finer degrees of finish/flatness but we just use the most aggressive step so the tooling marks remain. It adds a subtle rustic look to the beams.
- Hand hewn which utilizes an axe and adz to produce our most rustic looking beams. These look and feel very much like the real thing but come in designer finishes along with custom finishes to suite any need.
- Sanded.

- Clear varnish topcoat or Rubio Monocoat oil
- Custom to match a provided sample. For these we produce a full size beam sample for approval.

- 8' minimum lengths up to 12' solid before a joint is added. Our joints are authentic timber beam joints and add to the character of the beam.
