POLICE have confirmed sightings of a man who went missing from his Islington home two weeks ago.

Scaffolder Daniel Keith, 39, who lives in Barnsbury with his sister Charlotte Keith, has not had contact with his family since December 5.

A police statement said there have been a number of confirmed sightings of Daniel, who has a distinctive red beard, in neighbouring areas.

Ms Keith told the Tribune that her brother was last seen over a week ago at a pub in Tottenham Hale, where a friend approached him and confirmed his name, but Daniel left before Ms Keith could get there.

“I’m heartbroken,” she said. “The police aren’t being very cooperative and won’t even answer the phone when I call.”

A Met statement read: “The investigation to find Daniel is ongoing and our efforts to locate him remain stronger than ever. There have been a number of confirmed sightings in neigh­bour­ing areas. We remain in touch with the family and provide them with updates on a regular basis.”
