About INBAC

INBAC Association is a non-profit organization driving a community of various stake holders involved in building automation domain in India.

INBAC Association has a vision & mission to drive standardization within the building automation industry by creating awareness about various building automation technologies and open communication protocols which meets the critical needs of Indian building automation market.

Digital India

Optimum regulatory requirements can only be created by studying and benchmarking the trends. Benchmarks can be improved over a period with continuous measurements. Regulations ensuring continuous measurement is the key to successful governance. It needs integrated building at each level from simple field devices to the cloud. Indian industry is run by several national and international players. This makes it imperative to have standardization and interoperability based on open standards and protocols to make the Digital India vision successful. With the population growth projected, India would rather need to lead the evolution by further defining the standards for local problem statements with global lookout. Such industrial leadership ensures capability to compete and export globally.

President and Founder Director

An advocate of Open standards and protocols, Building Automation Systems, with product, business and customer experience focused on enterprise-scale softwares for sustainable building solutions. Engaged in technosocial movement in India by bringing together visionary industry leaders to create an ecosystem for sustainable growth and interdependence by driving open standards and protocols.




Vijay Sanap
Board Member

Vijay is the director and co-founder of Techbean. An experienced Instrumentation Engineer, having worked for over 30 years in the fields of Industrial Automation, Building Automation, HVAC and ELV Systems. He has served as Director – Global Center of Excellence in Engineering at Johnson Controls for seven years. He has also worked with Tata Honeywell for 13 years, in a variety of roles. He last served as the General Manager and BU Head for Global Engineering Services – Home and Building Controls BU. He was also part of the leadership team who set up Global Services SBU for Honeywell, India.




Rajesh Adhangale
Board Member

Rajesh Adhangale is a Building Automation professional with over 25 years of experience. He has worked in all domains of Building Automation right from Design and Commissioning, Project execution, Project Management, Sales and Business Development. During this period Rajesh has contributed to several prestigious projects in India like Herdelia Chemicals, ICMR, Lehman Brothers, Hyderabad Airport, IBMS at Wankhede Stadium, IBMS at Mumbai International Airport, among others.

Education Committee

This committee is set up since 2021 to venture into the student sector and to upskill the new joiners in the industry. This committee is working to create education models and courses that INBAC would offer to students and learners. The Chair and Vice Chair of this committee take up the responsibility to lead the activities and direct the monthly meetings. Elections for the Chair and Vice Chair happens every year and all INBACers are eligible to participate in the elections.

Event Committee

This committee has come into existence in 2023 with the intention to expand the committee through various engagements. Marketing sub team looks closely into promoting content for the community on various social media platforms. The event team organises events and manages all the work associated with the events like sponsorship, getting speakers, delegates, audience, etc.

Membership Committee

This committee has come into existence in 2023 with the intention to expand the committee through various engagements. Marketing sub team looks closely into promoting content for the community on various social media platforms. The event team organises events and manages all the work associated with the events like sponsorship, getting speakers, delegates, audience, etc.

Standards Committee

This committee is set up since 2021 with the sole purpose to create awareness around standards in building automation industry. We have collaborated with UL and IIT-M to work closely on this subject matter. The Chair and Vice Chair guides this committee and take up the responsibility to represent this committee work at different forums. Elections for the Chair and Vice Chair happens every year and all INBACers are eligible to participate in the elections.

Strategy Council

This is the core committee of INBAC Associates. All primary associates of MSME associateship and individual associates automatically become a part of this committee on their joining the forum. The strategy council is established with purpose of cultivating and developing knowledge and networking across business communities, government bodies, test, and certification bodies. Its main goal is providing an impartial and expert evaluation and strategic action plan for the INBAC association’s progress in delivering the aims of the Industrial Strategy and its impact on the economy. A monthly meeting is set up for the discussion.
