Thursday at the first IASP Pan-American Conference in Minneapolis was a day full of impactful sessions and meaningful conversations, addressing critical topics in suicide prevention across diverse contexts.
It is an honour to write a recap of our first official IASP Pan-American Conference, which was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA).
It is so inspiring to be in a space with so many leading academics, researchers, policymakers, clinicians, people with lived experiences and volunteers, all for the purpose of suicide prevention.
Every year, International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is marked as a day dedicated to those who have lost a loved one to suicide to foster connection, offer support, and promote healing through shared experiences.
Leaving Minneapolis tonight after a week of excellent meetings and discussions with colleagues at the @IASPinfo Pan-American Conference focusing on services, systems and people for #suicdeprevention across the lifespan; working collaboratively to prevent suicidal suffering.
