Can I rent a flatbed truck?
Stop by the Rental Center at your nearest Home Depot to see what vans or trucks you can rent. If you'd like confirmation before you drive there, call first to inquire about renting a Load 'N Go moving truck, pickup truck, or flatbed truck. Penske moving truck rentals and moving vans have different rules. You can also read our truck rental page to see if the vehicle you need is in stock at your store.
Can I rent a truck for a week?
Rent a pickup truck, van, or flatbed truck for as long as you need it. For short trips, 75 minutes could be enough time. Otherwise, consider renting it by the week or the day, depending on the length of your project. Don't forget to factor in the drive between the job site and the store, as you must bring it back to the same store you rented it from. Penske moving truck rentals allow round-trip options as well as one-way options, and they have different terms. Be sure to read the contract and terms and conditions before choosing a vehicle.
Do I need to refuel the rental truck when I'm done?
Yes, please fuel up the truck before you bring it back. Match the amount of gas that was in the tank when you received the rental. When you don't refill the vehicle, you'll be hit with a penalty known as the fuel replacement charge.
Can I rent a truck with only a driver's license?
No, you must hold a valid driver's license and be over the age of 21. Depending on your state, you may require car insurance, as well as a deposit or credit card hold, too. We don't accept cash for Home Depot truck rentals, so please bring your credit card. Penske moving truck rentals have different requirements.
