Dan D'Addona is the sports editor at The Holland Sentinel and Northern Sports Team Leader for the USA TODAY Network Center for Community Journalism. He joined The Sentinel in 2003 and has served in a variety of roles before taking over as Sports Editor. Dan has won more than 20 awards (Associated Press and Michigan Press Association) for sports journalism, mostly based on his feature and column writing but has also won for breaking news and photography. After interning at the National Baseball Hall of Fame, Dan graduated from Central Michigan University in 2003 with a degree in journalism where was Sports Editor of Central Michigan Life. He also minored in art history and was a part of the CMU Concert Choir and prestigious Chamber Singers as well as playing percussion in the music department. He is involved in the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and has written two books: "In Cobb's Shadow: The Hall of Fame Careers of Sam Crawford, Harry Heilmann and Heinie Manush" and "Golden Glow" a biography of Olympic gold medal swimmer Kaitlin Sandeno. He also writes for Swimming World Magazine. Dan lives in Holland, Michigan, with his wife and two daughters.
