Nine Favorite Things

Happy June, everyone! I’m so excited for the month ahead. After a very long spring and a lot of cooking, photographing, and editing over the last two months, I’m looking forward to getting organized, cleaning my house, and some fun travel, too! I’m ready to feel put back together after a crazy two months. And I’m so ready for the weather to warm up and the green grass to grow – it’s time!

How about you all? Are you looking forward to anything this month? Will you be traveling this summer? What’s happening? We need to catch up!

I’m heading to Chicago this week for a quick photo shoot and then back home. Hopefully, I can start getting organized and put things back together before heading off on another trip later in the month.

And speaking of summer plans, I know some of you have been asking what’s happening with our renovations? Everything is moving forward! But we do have a slight change of plans in our building schedule. Basically, we just flipped-flopped a few things. I’ll now be staying put in my house for the summer while they start work on the studio in July. Once they finish the studio, they’ll start my house. Then, I’ll bounce over to the studio to live and work until they get my house completed. It’s going to be over a year of renovations, so I’m sure we’re in for a fun ride! But I’m beyond excited to share details along the way and for everything to be completed. It’s going to be worth the wait!

And that’s pretty much it. We have a short Favorite’s post today, but next week I’ll double up on fun things to share! Have the best Sunday!

1. Things i’m loving, wanting, and excited to try.

loving…Dr. Bronner’s – Sal Suds Biodegradable Cleaner. I’ve been really trying to buckle down on cleaning supplies and only use clean products with no fragrance. This Dr. Bronner’s cleaner is great. I’ve also been enjoying Branch Basics.

wanting…

everything in my cart (low)…added these Free People Flying Private Flip Flops to my cart. They give designer vibes but are under $50. They would be cute with a small open-weave bag. Oh and! This is a cute Crew-Neck Flag Sweater for the 4th of July!

Last one, I want to order multples of this H&M hoodie. I live in in hoodies and this one is perfect.

listening to…The Truth About Meat & Animal Protein In Our Diets Ft. Robby Sansom & Taylor Collins. This was super interesting. Wether you eat meat or not, this episode has a lot of information regarding our food sources. I’ve also been a fan of For of Nature meats, I buy their ground beef at Whole Foods.

dreaming of going to…The 10 Best Spa Resorts in the United States. Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain are top of my list. Also, The 5 Best Spas in New York City, I will definitely be visiting the new AMAN location. And if we travel abroad, this would be a great guide – The 10 Best Spas in the World.

drinking…Frosted Watermelon Rosemary Frosé. It’s summertime!

reading…well, my mom is, The Five-Star Weekend. It’s about a food blogger!

burning…the new Diptyque Fruits Confits (Candied Fruit) Classic Candle. Sounds wonderful for summer.

Also, every single Lavune candle. I was just sent these and am so excited to burn my way through this summer. They all smell amazing. I think my favorite will be their N˚11 Fig Candle.

listening to…Asher’s summer playlist that she found, Miley Stewart Summer.

shopping…the new Leanne Ford for Semihandmade Cabinets. These are cool!

wanting…one of these Hulken tote bags for summer market runs. It’s not the cutest, but it’s super useful, and it has amazing reviews, too!

everything in my cart (beauty)…I really need to try the OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil everyone keeps talking about. I also must try the gucci bronzer.

listening to…How To Crush All Your Goals & Boost Your Productivity. Looking forward to listening to this soon! Maybe on the plane!

watching…A Family Affair. This sounds cute!

everything in my cart (high)…This sunkissed raffia tote is so sweet and cute. I love the heart detail. This would be great for summer vacation days and nights.

Ok and then this is INSANE , but this diamond and tourmaline necklace is so cute. The elephant is adorable! As much as I find that necklace stunning, I would actually get this much more affordable elephant necklace, still so cute!

eating…Homemade Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bars. Oh, how I LOVE these. So fun for summer and easy to make too!

4. Everything Cute From Zara Home.

I think Zara Home is such a hidden gem in the home space. I know everyone goes to Zara for their clothes, but I think Zara Home is their secret gem.

Love these cotton towels with wide strip. They would be cute in a bathroom with these seagrass baskets, and maybe this pretty striped ceramic vase too! All such cozy home pieces.

For the kitchen, I love these dotted glass tumblers and hammered glass pitcher. Oh, and this terracotta tableware is pretty for summer entertaining. I’d style it with this rattan tray. These garden kitchen towels are cute too!

For outside, I want to order this fun and cute umbrella stand.

5. Beach Bag Essentials.

Mckenzie from our team sent me the quote below this week. It was just what I needed at the time.
