Video: Time Lapse Snow Fall

Here is a time lapse I took from my security camera on Dec 3, 2013, just about 9 hours compressed into 91 seconds. You will see activity in the background (cars and people) but if you watch the foreground you can really see the snow piling up:

We had some storms roll through in the past couple of days and I have been trying to get a lightning picture, so far they have proved very elusive. Though with the major downpour I did manage to get this picture of some water coming down the street and piling up against a tire.

While out hiking in Banff National Park last weekend I decided to try my hand at a multiple picture panoramic image, I took 5 pictures of the Bow Valley, I got these home and started digging around for some stitching software. I found Hugin, an open source front end to the command line Panorama Tools, Hugin is also cross platform so you can use it in Mac, Linux, and Windows. Hugin made quick work of automatically stitching my 5 photos together, I had done about 50% overlap (probably overkill) and after correcting for parallax this is what I had.
