According to the Hive JDBC driver source code, the setupLoginTimeout method references the socketTimeout parameter, so you can directly add the socketTimeout parameter to the JDBC driver URL to set the login timeout.

Setting socketTimeout doesn't work, still reporting login timeout errors, even if I use the latest Hive JDBC driver.
