The current Ubuntu 22 Snap package cannot be installed because it's missing a signature.

Steps to reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Download https://o3debinaries.org/23.10/Linux/o3de_23.10.0_amd64.snap
  2. Install package
    sudo snap install ~/Downloads/o3de_23.10.0_amd64.snap

Expected behavior
Snap package is installed and user is able to open o3de editor

Actual behavior
error: cannot find signatures with metadata for snap

This is a known issue. To install a snap package from a file, you must include --dangerous and --classic to the command line

To be clear, it's not something we fix, but how snaps work if downloaded locally. It's in the documentation as well: https://www.docs.o3de.org/docs/welcome-guide/setup/installing-linux/#installing-o3de-from-a-snap-package
