Steps To Reproduce

  1. Go to https://forum.cockos.com/index.php
  2. Scroll around (without being locked in)

Expected Result

Nothing should happen.

Actual Result

The unlock box appears from time to time.

Additional Context

Note: Auto-fill does work on the linked site, the issue is that Bitwarden's unlock box appears occassionally without having the forum login/password fields in focus (i.e. clicked) therefore visually disturbing the browsing experience when not wanting to log in.

PS:
I hope the issue is clearer now and doesn't get immediately closed like my previous report.

Thanks for getting back.
Seems like I don't have that function (or am I overlooking it)?
Here's what I see under 'Autofill'.
These are all the default settings btw.

I want to add, the above linked site is the only one where this happens so far (but I'm only using Bit Warden since quite recently).

Hi @nofishonfriday,

Thank you. I tested this with Bitwarden 2024.11.2 in Waterfox 6.5.2 on Windows 11 Pro 23H2, and did not encounter any unexpected Inline autofill prompts on that webpage whilst Inline autofill was activated and the extension was locked; I'd recommend testing this with a fresh new installation of the Bitwarden browser extension by uninstalling the extension, clearing any leftover data, restarting the browser, and installing it anew.

If this behaviour persists, please feel free to create a Support ticket so we'd have a look at this together, and please also include a link to this GitHub report in the body of your ticket.

Alternatively, you can seek assistance from other Bitwarden users in our Community Forums, if you wish.

We use GitHub to track potential bugs and other development related matters; This GitHub report will be closed at this point.

I'm co-maintainer of an open source project and and do software testing for some years and imo, just because one person (you) can't reproduce doesn't necessarily mean it's not a potential bug.
Could be that you're missing e.g. a prerequisite or certain condition to trigger the bug.

Well whatever with this kind of 'support' I'm rather thinking of changing my password manager.
