I am not a fan of medicine cabinets either because there are really not a lot of good looking ones out there. We just completed a project where our client had picked out beautiful, baroque style mirrors but also wanted medicine cabinets on the side walls. We ended up making custom medicine cabinets out of her mirrors by detaching the glass from the frames and mounting the frames on the wall so that only the mirror opens to custom medicine cabinet inside. Talk to your remodeler - they may be able to do this.
