As an entry-level smartphone, the Infinix Smart 8 HD offers a decent main camera, long battery life, 4G support and a surprisingly smooth 90Hz display for everyday use. These features make it suitable for browsing, social media, and casual gaming.

The smartphone's design language is similar to that of its predecessor, with a few minor changes that do not stand out as much.

However, corners are cut elsewhere. The phone charges slowly, which can be a pain for heavy users. While the camera works well in daylight, low-light photos suffer. The display isn't bright enough to be used outdoors but it does work fine indoors.

Despite these limitations, the Infinix Smart 8 HD remains a good option for basic tasks. If you're a casual user who prioritizes affordability, this phone can handle calls, texts, light gaming, and watching videos at home. Just be aware of its pros and cons before buying.

The Xiaomi Redmi 13C 5G has a stylish design that’s made of polycarbonate and glass. The latter is only used for its display and the manufacturer claims the phone offers basic splash protection as well.

This isn’t a smartphone designed for gaming but for basic everyday performance. Which the phone delivers when it comes to casual usage. Its high refresh rate display also makes the Android 13-based software experience quite smooth.

Camera performance is quite poor and the phone does not even manage basic daylight photography well. Video performance is similar. Low-light performance can be ignored entirely. Only one of the two rear cameras is accessible to the user.

Battery life is where this phone stands out. It easily lasts over a day with heavy usage. However, charging is a very slow experience especially with the packaged charger.
