Andrea Urban joins FOX 13 News as a sports reporter and anchor but she grew up in a suburb outside of Chicago, playing sports and spending a lot of time in the dugout of her brother’s baseball games, eating ranch sunflower seeds, as her dad coached.
She comes to Utah from KIFI/KIDK in Idaho and is excited to stay in the Rocky Mountains, continuing to do what she loves. Before Idaho, Andrea was at Michigan State University, where her passion for sports journalism grew. She graduated from MSU and started working as a sports photographer with WLNS in Lansing, MI.
Her time in Lansing led to her first on-air job in Idaho, where she won “Best Sports Segment†by the Idaho Broadcasters Association. Andrea played volleyball but loves talking basketball and is excited to cover the Jazz.
In her spare time, she likes working out, hiking, boxing and working on her skiing skills (little rusty). Andrea is thrilled to be a part of Utah sports and looks forward to Pac-12, Mountain West and Big Sky football. You can reach her at [email protected] or on social media.
