Brazilian Government Institution Mitigates Cyberthreat Attempts with Fortinet Solutions
Download Case StudyThe Defensoria Publica da União (DPU) provides for the legal enforcement of human rights in Brazil. Facing over 500 security incidents each year and experiencing significant performance issues with its multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) hub-and-spoke network, DPU set out to integrate and modernize networking and security.
Following a successful proof of concept, DPU selected a secure networking solution from Fortinet centered on Fortinet Secure SD-WAN. The solution provides a first layer of defense for DPU’s 72 branches while optimizing network quality. Leveraging a hybrid mesh firewall, DPU has implemented a high-security protocol and personalized access for users. DPU also benefits from enhanced endpoint protection on 6,000 devices with automated detection, investigation, and remediation capabilities, as well as advanced email security that leverages antispam filtering, antiphishing, encryption, authentication, and data loss prevention. Meanwhile, security operations capabilities from Fortinet have enabled rich threat analysis across DPU’s infrastructure, enabling faster incident resolution. With Fortinet, DPU has gained stability across its branches and improved its user experience.
