Red Bull and Fortinet Join Forces to Improve Security with FortiEDR
Download Case StudyRed Bull is a global brand known for its energy drinks, media, technology, and sports business. Many of its employees are creatives and need to access a wide range of web services, something that complicates the company’s cybersecurity efforts. Another challenge is that cybersecurity requirements vary across the 175 countries where the company operates.
To address these issues, Red Bull has deployed Fortinet’s endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution on 15,000 workstations and 1,300 servers. FortiEDR delivers a final line of defense against attacks and provides valuable intelligence to Red Bull’s security operations center. Red Bull’s security team is also using FortiEDR to detect and block applications that have not been properly registered. In addition, Red Bull uses the FortiGuard MDR Forensic On-Demand Service. This managed detection and response (MDR) service provides deeper analysis of security incidents provided by Fortinet experts. With Fortinet, Red Bull benefits from being able to centrally manage security policies companywide, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate the diverse needs of its staff and business units.
“Having the FortiEDR solution, with the FortiGuard MDR Forensic On-Demand Service behind it, gives us a very effective two-layer operations team. The tool is powerful, and this partnership prepares us to respond quickly and effectively if there is an attack.”
– Head of Security Operations Center, Red Bull
Greatly enhanced security posture companywide: No serious malware-related security incidents have gotten past FortiEDR
Enhanced detection of zero-day threats, and faster staff response in the event of an attack
No endpoint performance degradation, a persistent issue with the company’s previous endpoint security solutions
Protection for all clients and servers across a heterogeneous environment (including Windows, macOS, different Linux variants, and Windows embedded systems)
Visibility into unauthorized applications users have installed, and streamlined ability to block any unsecure app
With help desk issues, half of our time may be spent isolating the trouble, and FortiSwitch will reduce that by about 80%. Moving to FortiSwitches is greatly enhancing our help desk support of Jersey Mike’s franchisees.”

FortiAnalyzer is number one. It is invaluable for our organization to be honest with you. And one of our junior analysts basically spends their entire day just perusing FortiAnalyzer, trying to find threats and then bubbling it up to a more senior engineer. Close second would be FortiManager. It is pretty impossible to manage 70, 80, or 100 sites without some form of single pane of glass.”
