FAO in Asia and the Pacific has four regional priority areas of work that deliver meaningful support to our Member Nations, helping them achieve impactful results leading to better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life for all – leaving no one behind. A further series of FAO Corporate Initiatives that provide country-owned and country-led solutions, such as the Digital Village Initiative, Hand-in-Hand Initiative, the One Country One Priority Product Initiative and the Green Cities Initiative, deliver great impact and are highly popular with our Members in Asia and the Pacific.

Regional Priorities
FAO in the Asia and Pacific region has four Regional Priorities to implement consolidated actions effectively and efficiently while promoting digitalization of the agriculture sector and rural communities.

The Hand-in-Hand (HIH) Initiative - Asia and the Pacific Countries
The Initiative provides integrated analyses that identify key interactions, synergies, and trade-offs among actions to accelerate economic growth, ensure social inclusion, and promote sustainable use of biodiversity and natural resources.

The Four Betters Videos
In the Asia-Pacific region, FAO is working with its Member Nations to help them advance to the 2030 Agenda by achieving Four Betters: Better Production, Better Nutrition, Better Environment and Better Life – leaving no one behind.
