PPC expands renewables activity into Italy

PPC Group on Wednesday announced its entry into the Italian renewable energy market, through the imminent launch of operations at two new photovoltaic plants with a total installed capacity of 32 megawatts in central Italy: the Carcarello and Luxenia plants, with an installed capacity of 20 MW and 12 MW, respectively.

Over 55,000 double-sided photovoltaic panels were used for the new plants’ construction, to be completed in the next few days.

The estimated combined annual energy output will exceed 60 gigawatt-hours, covering the energy needs of 15,000 households.

The operation of the two parks will prevent the emission of 37,200 tons of carbon dioxide.
