<p>The Dorchester-based team ended the season with a records of 7-4. </p>
<p>The Bears were led by Coach Raul Brown, who has been named the league’s Coach of the Year. The Player of the Year award was presented to TechBoston senior Xavier Landrum, who is shown above streaking toward the end zone on his way to scoring a touchdown against Brighton last week. <p>Last Tuesday (June 11) some 90 players on the team’s roster and their coaches left Foxborough and dispersed across Massachusetts to partake in a series of community field days. In Dorchester, some players, including long snapper Joe Cardona, visited the Lilla G. <p>The girls skated to a 3-1 victory over Hyde Park in the final game of the tournament last Friday night at Neponset’s Devine Rink. The blind, Haitian-born runner first<a href="https://www.dotnews.com/2018/he-s-prepping-marathon-run-twist-his-dream"> told his inspirational story to the Reporter</a> as he trained for the race last December.</p>
<p>At one point in his life, the 57-year-old Besson weighed as much as 500 pounds. It’s their last practice after a championship season — both teams won state titles the weekend before— and it shows.</p>
<p>“This is not like our normal practice. This is just kids having fun,” said coach Neil Janulewicz, whose son plays in Squirt B. </p>
