Our Kitchen Design Service
Here at deVOL, we have a wonderful team of designers who specialise in creating beautiful and practical spaces for your home. We work on properties of all shapes and sizes all around the world and would love to hear about your upcoming project and discuss how we can bring your ideas to life.
The most immersive and inspiring way to design your kitchen is to visit one of our showrooms and collaborate with our experienced design team. Our design appointments typically last between 2 – 3 hours and we aim for you to leave with a full set of plans and an itemised quotation. We are pleased to offer this initial design service free of charge for UK projects when our time frames align and any planning permissions are in place.
For overseas customers (including Northern Ireland) we are able to offer a remote design service where you can chat everything through with a designer on a video call. They will then create a set of plans and a full quote to be sent out to you following the meeting. In this instance, we charge a £500 design fee, which will be deducted from the balance of your kitchen order.
Our design schedule works around project time frames and we will be very happy to book you in for an appointment that fits in with your timescales and our manufacturing schedule. Typically, we would advise getting in touch 6 months ahead of your ideal installation date but we can work on projects with shorter timescales.
We have showrooms in London, Bath, New York and our Cotes Mill headquarters in Leicestershire. To ensure we book you in with the right team, please contact one of the below email addresses with the information listed in the ‘What we’ll need from you’ section.
London – [email protected]
Southwest - [email protected]
All other locations – [email protected]
For projects in America and Canada, please visit our US website here.
In order to make the most of this service, we require a few pieces of information about your project. Please include details of the following bullet points when booking an appointment.
- The project address and your contact number.
- The timescales for the kitchen element of your project.
- An indication of your budget and whether this includes worktops, appliances, and installation.
- A dimensioned room plan - whether this is a DWG/PDF of an architect’s plan or a simple hand-drawn plan, we need to know the window and door measurements along with their locations, the ceiling heights, and any other features that may hinder the placement of furniture. You can find a helpful “how to” blog and video here.
- Information on any structural work being carried out – do you require planning permission or any other relevant permissions and if so, are these now in place?
- The range of furniture you would like: Classic English, Heirloom, Real Shaker, Haberdasher’s or Sebastian Cox.
- Information about the appliances you are planning to have in your kitchen and whether you prefer freestanding or integrated (the makes and models are really useful to know if you have specific appliances in mind).
- A wish list and links to a Pinterest board are a great help along with any photographs you might have of the existing space.
