THE MAKING OF LEXUS' 3D PRINTED, INTERACTIVE CAR IN MIAMI
designboom speaks to vlasta kubušová, co-founder of crafting plastics, about 'liminal cycles', the interactive installation unveiled in collaboration with lexus during miami art and design week 2024. an artistic interpretation of the automotive brand's LF-ZC model, the 3D printed car sculpture moves and change its color in real time through environmental stimuli, such as UV radiation and viewer proximity. the car is printed using nuatan®–a biodegradable material, based on 100% renewable resources and leaves no microplastics behind.
