I misread a local business on the Google map and then figured it would be a silly post. 😛

We used to joke on Crazy Eddie in NY: "Today only!! Free Stereo with any purchase!!"

I also liked Don Imus character Rev Bill with his
"First Church of the Gooey Death and the Discount House of Worship".

I also remember Ralph Williams whose car dealership commercials were everywhere! Ralph Williams Ford, I think it was.

I remember the TV that I’d be watching when the commercials came on. That TV had a problem - on the screen, as opposed to the actual signal.

About 3/4 of the way up, there was a “wrinkle” or warped effect that extended across the screen. On the commercials, his bald head was invariably within that bend in the video. It warped the image of whatever was in that part of the screen, and all the way across. It made his head look longer, thinner, and curved - like a banana. From the first moment I noticed it, I started referring to him as “Banana-head”. And that’s how I’ll always fondly remember him!
