Team USA predicted to top Olympic medal table for FOURTH straight games... but who do they beat in second and how many will be gold?

Team USA will top the Olympic medal table for a fourth straight games, a supercomputer has predicted, with China and Great Britain pegged to round out the top three.
The Americans have been projected to win 121 medals, including 39 golds, 47 silver and 35 bronze.
The data comes from OLBG, which has also earmarked China for success to the tune of 77 medals, including 32 golds.
Great Britain has been predicted to win 62 medals (26 golds), with Australia (48 medals) and Japan (47 medals) not too far behind.
France, Germany, Canada, Italy, Brazil and the Netherlands are also expected to collect double-digit gold medals each.

Despite being predicted to finish sixth in the medals table, France (51) is projected to win more medals than Australia and Japan - who will win five more golds each than the hosts, the supercomputer says.
The supercomputer analyzed data from every Olympics since 1896 to help make its predictions.
For the Americans, many of Team USA's squads and competitors will enter the games realistically aiming for gold.
In swimming, Katie Ledecky and Caeleb Dressel will hope to add more wins to their already-impressive collection in the pool (seven golds each).
Surfer Carissa Moore will hope to repeat as a gold medalist.
Simone Biles will look to collect more medals with the women's gymnastics squad
And the men's basketball squad, led by the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant, enter Paris as heavy favorites to win gold.

He's the first men's basketball player to achieve the honor.
The Olympics start this Friday, August 26, and run until August 11.
