UPDATED:

Wednesday marked the first day of the early signing period for high school athletes in sports other than football to sign athletics aid agreements.

Nearly 200 Inland athletes made their college choices official this week by putting pen to paper.

Many schools in the Inland area held ceremonies to celebrate athletes signing during this period. Others will hold events in the near future.

Among those signing this week were six athletes who earned IE Varsity Player of the Year honors during the 2023-24 school year: Ayala’s Daniel Benson (boys swimming), Santiago’s Rylee Blade (girls cross country), Corona’s Seth Hernandez (baseball), Murrieta Mesa’s Taelyn Holley (softball), Centennial’s Clarissa Sirls (girls water polo) and Woodcrest Christian’s Eyan Turk (boys cross country).

Great Oak had the most athletes signing with 16. Murrieta Valley and Vista Murrieta had 11 athletes apiece, while Ayala and Yucaipa each had 10.

Below is a list of Inland athletes who signed this week. The list was compiled from information provided by athletic directors.
