Telstra Mobility partner MobileCorp in Sydney has promoted Peter Jonson as its general manager of sales and managed services.

Jonson is a 13-year MobileCorp veteran who has over the last five years worked on the development of a comprehensive managed service stack.

This includes mobility, 5G networking, in-building cellular solutions, and IT services.

He led the company's team that collaborated with Telstra and Cradlepoint, to design the Telstra Enterprise Wireless solution.

It has been deployed for a MobileCorp customer with more than 320 stores across Australia and New Zealand, as a 5G continuity solution, the managed service provider said.

In his new role, Jonson will lead customer-facing teams.

This includes sales, customer success, business intelligence (BI) reporting, support, and managed services.

The new position aims to ensure a cohesive approach to delivering a quality end-to-end service for MobileCorp's clients, with the company shifting its focus in recent times.

“Peter has been hugely instrumental in MobileCorp's transition from a pure-play Telstra mobility fulfilment partner to becoming a communications ICT managed service provider,” Stephen Aravopoulos, managing director of MobileCorp, said.

Aravopoulos added that Jonson’s focus on customer satisfaction and his long-term vision for the company have been key in driving growth.

MobileCorp was named Telstra Mobility Partner of the Year in November 2023.
