Epicor will introduce carbon calculations and reporting functionality into its portfolio as part of its partnership with carbon intelligence solution provider Climatiq.
Announced on 12 June 2024, the new capabilities are set to be rolled out "in the coming month," with full implementation expected in 2025, Epicor said.
They will enable customers "to access accurate, real-time carbon calculations, track emissions, and identify key opportunities to reduce their carbon footprint," according to the company.
“We’re excited to work with Climatiq to assist our customers in reaching their sustainability goals, and boosting profitability while reducing emissions,” said Kerrie Jordan, group VP of product management at Epicor.
“I’m incredibly proud of our team’s achievements in making this vision a reality.”
Berlin-headquartered Climatiq offers a carbon intelligence platform that it claims is used by "over 10,000 teams worldwide."
The vendor's solutions feature a carbon calculation engine and the "largest dataset of verified emission factors," which is "overseen by a Scientific Advisory Board consisting of world-renowned scientists."
Climatiq's co-founder and CEO Hessam Lavi said “our collaboration with Epicor highlights our dedication to helping organisations integrate sustainability into their daily operations.”
“This alliance is a major step forward towards removing the barriers that have historically kept sustainability data separate from business processes. Now, Epicor users can seamlessly align their economic, service, and environmental objectives.”
