AWS expands GenAI support with new partner alliance

Amazon Web Services said it has launched its Generative AI Partner Innovation Alliance, to expand the reach of its artificial intelligence innovation centre that has helped thousands of customers deploy AI solutions since June 2023.

The alliance includes nine initial partners, bringing together global systems integrators and consulting firms with expertise in generative AI implementation across different industries and regions.

The expansion follows the success of AWS's Generative AI Innovation Center, which has seen more than 50 per cent of its proof-of-concept solutions move into production for customers including DoorDash, Nasdaq, and the PGA TOUR.

Partner organisations include Booz Allen Hamilton, Crayon, Escala24x7, Megazone Cloud, NCS Group, Quanitphi, and Rackspace, alongside system integrators Caylent and Deloitte.

"At the GenAIIC, our approach focuses on empowering customers to identify and refine AI use cases that deliver tangible business value," Sri Elaprolu, global head of the AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre said.

"Generative AI is revolutionising how businesses operate and deliver value to their customers," Julia Chen, vice president of Partner Core at AWS said.

The alliance aims to address specific regional and industry needs.

Booz Allen Hamilton will focus on public sector applications, while NCS Group plans to develop solutions for Asia Pacific markets through its generative AI centre of excellence.

"In the public sector, we have a tremendous opportunity to use generative AI to enhance mission delivery and provide better services to citizens," Alison Smith, director of generative AI at Booz Allen Hamilton said.

The initiative will help organisations implement AI solutions while maintaining security and compliance standards, particularly crucial for businesses in highly-regulated industries.

Partners will work with AWS to scale the number of customers they can support with both proof-of-concept and production implementations, using AWS's established methodology for AI solution development.
