Serendipity’s Embrace Episode 6 Recap & Spoilers 

Serendipity’s Embrace episode 6 aired on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, on tvN and Viki. It tells the story of two high schoolmates who meet after ten years. One of them was the other’s first love. Kim So-Hyun plays Lee Hong-Ju, and Chae Jong-Hyeop essays the role of Kang Hu-Yeong.

In the previous episode, So-Hyun confessed his feelings to Hong-Ju and kissed her. She avoided him throughout the episode but also explored her feelings for him. Towards the end, she asked him not to leave her again and fly to the United States. Hong-Ju then accepted his confession and shared a kiss. 

Serendipity’s Embrace episode 6 teases that their relationship will go through troubles. It begins with the new couple experiencing love bliss and creating some heart-fluttering moments. Will Hu-Yeong truly drop his US plans for Hong-Ju? Let’s find out!

What happens in Serendipity’s Embrace Episode 6? 

In Serendipity’s Embrace episode 6, Hu-Yeong and Hong-Ju arrive home. While he continues to flirt with her, his uncle Baek Wook catches the lovebirds. The older man follows Hu-Yeong inside his apartment and discusses the young man’s decision to resign. This means Hu-Yeong has planned to stay in South Korea. Unfortunately, his mother Do-Seon is unhappy, which scares Baek Wook.

Meanwhile, Hu-Yeong shrugs off his mother’s topic and concentrates on his new relationship. Hong-Ju, too, cannot believe she has started dating someone from her high school. The next day, Hu-Yeong feels restless as he cannot meet his girlfriend and hence, waits for her at night. But things get out of hand because of Baek Wook. So, the couple decide to spend the following day together.

Was Kim So-Hyun & Chae Jong-Hyeop’s date successful?

The following day starts with Hu-Yeong and Hong-Ju being excited about their date. They meet each other outside their building but soon a third wheel appears. Hong-Ju’s best friend Hye-Ji tags along with the couple because she is upset. Hye-Ji wants to date her fellow teacher Gyeong-Taek but her father wishes him to court her elder sister. Hence, the female teacher seeks her friend Hong-Ju’s attention and crashes the much-awaited date.

Fortunately, the pair manages to help her and they finally head off to their date. However, Hye-Ji’s heart breaks when Gyeong-Taek rejects her again. Meanwhile, Hong-Ju and Hu-Yeong share a swoon-worthy moment, which gets interrupted soon. Hu-Yeong has to rush to work because his mother has arrived from the US. Will she take his son back?

Serendipity’s Embrace Episode 6 ending spoilers

Serendipity’s Embrace episode 6 further shows Hu-Yeong meeting with his mother Do-Seon. She mentions that his resignation letter has not been processed. He is persistent in his decision but Do-Seon is also stubborn. The next day, the mother-son duo go to their office together when she notices Hong-Ju at a bus stand. She comments that some things have never changed, teasing a connection between the two females. 

Meanwhile, Hong-Ju visits her ex Jun-Oh’s house. As they are working on a project together, she has no other option. On the other hand, Jun-Oh wants her back but his plans may fail as Hong-Ju informs that she is leaving the project. He becomes sick and starts to breathe heavily. She tries to help him looking at Jun-Oh’s pale face. Teary-eyed, Jun-Oh looks at Hong-Ju and asks, “If I left because I was sick, would you take me back?” Towards the end of the episode, Hong-Ju and Hu-Yeong seem to be in a difficult situation, respectively.

The final scene features an end credit including a flashback when Hu-Yeong’s mother met Hong-Ju. The day, he was ready to confess to Hong-Ju, he spotted her at a bus stand opposite to his. Do-Seon’s car was nearby and she noticed his loving son’s eyes looking at Hong-Ju. When he left without meeting his first love, Do-Seon approached Hong-Ju and had a random conversation with her.
