Straining
In-line hot straining FKR + GP
FKR + GP filtration systems can be applied to existing mixing processes. The systems are placed in-line after an existing one or two mills. The FKR continuosly receives the compound form the mill and the GP gear pump strains and preforms it in sheets or strips. In addition, the systems can be equipped with an automatic screen changer to reduce the time required to replace screened packs.
Applications
In-line hot straining CTE + GP
This system, called CTE + GP, consists of a CTE conical twin extruder with GP gear pump. It is positioned after the first mill. The CTE works to complete the homogenization of the compound and as a buffer to guarantee a continuous porcess, the GP strains and preforms it in sheets or strips. This system allowing at the mixing line to work batch-by-batch mode and the downstream machine(s) to work continuosly. In addition, the system can be equipped with automatic filter changer to reduce the time of changing screen packs.
Applications
Off-line cold straining TGF + GP
The TGF + Gp system is used to strain cold rubber compounds. The extruder positioned before the GP gear pump has the task to preheat and to homogenize the compound before to be strained and preformed intro strips.
Applications
ART™ System cold straining for off-line unvulcanized rubber recovery
Applications
Automatic Screen Changers
To reduce the time taken to change screen packs, Colmec has designed Automatic Screen Changers that are hydraulically operated of various sizes. The Automatic Screen Changers are identified by the external diameter of the filter pack. The Automatic Screen Changers up to 250 mm are realized with multiple interchangeable and removable filter plates, the plates enter in the bosy of the filer changer one after the other. The Automatic Screen Changers bigger than 250 mm up to 500 mm are realized with a single plate which goes back and forth in the body of the screen changer.
