Xbox 360 Won't Get Forza Horizon 2 DLC
Planning on purchasing Forza Horizon 2 for the Xbox 360? Already have it pre-ordered? Well take note that you're going to end up with the gimped version (depending on how you look at it) because it won't be receiving any DLC. Nope... no DLC for Xbox 360 owners.
Now some of you might be rejoicing over the fact that no DLC for Forza Horizon 2 is coming for the Xbox 360 version... you're probably thinking “This is awesome, this means we get the full game with all the features.” Nope. You get the same version as the Xbox One version... just without the DLC.
As spotted by Eurogamer, community manager Brian Ekberg laid out the truth as plain as day, writing on the official Forza forums...
Harsh.
So not only is the Xbox 360 version only as complete as its gold master disc (which isn't very complete by today's standards), but it won't be brought up to par to the Xbox One version on the content side? Ouch. Sucks to be a seventh-gen console owner.
Even worse yet, if you thought that you could earn progress rewards by playing through the Xbox 360 version of the game, think again. Ekberg commented about the “Forza Rewards”, stating...
I'm not a fan of DLC but I am a fan of complete games. The problem here is that the Xbox One is already poised to receive six monthly add-ons via the DLC Season Pass ticket. So essentially, you're paying extra to get stuff that's already completed... unless they throw out the excuse “We were working on these cars during certification.” Right.

Mostly I see this as a way to try to boost the software sales for the Xbox One and give something good to report on the quarterly financial sheets. The Xbox 360 has already made its due for Microsoft and they're desperately trying to get the audience to move over and upgrade to the Xbox One. The major problem is that extra DLC in a game like Forza Horizon 2 seems like an unlikely way to get some gamers to budge, and it might even have the opposite effect; they ignore the game altogether.
One of the major things that could get people seriously considering the upgrade is if there are actual next-gen features to look forward to: better and more accurate damage models. Enhanced physics. More environmental effects that affect the handling and car dynamics. Improved A.I., and deeper levels of customization. But DLC? I can't speak for everyone else but that certainly wouldn't win me over.
