The Cayuga County Health Department is committed to creating policies and programs that promote safe and effective vaccines for all. The Cayuga County Health Department administers vaccines to county residents who are unable to obtain vaccines due to lack of funds, insurance, or access to a health care provider who provides vaccines; and also serves as a resource for local schools to ensure children are vaccinated according to the established state immunization schedule. The Cayuga County Health Department also participates in emergency preparedness and will direct immunization eddoes in the event of a natural disaster or infectious disease outbreak.
The Cayuga County Health Department Participates in the Vaccine for Children Program (VFC) and the Vaccine for Adult Program (VFA). These programs are federally funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to ensure all eligible persons have access to vaccines that protect themselves and their community. The Cayuga County Health Department also has a sliding scale fee schedule for residents who do not meet the criteria for these programs.
Immunizations are administered at regularly scheduled clinics. Immunization clinics are available by appointment only. Please call (315)-253-1560 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment.
