Countywide Agriculture Plan

Cayuga County Agriculture & Farmland Protection Plan

The Cayuga County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan was adopted by the County Legislature on August 26, 2014. The plan was approved by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets on November 7, 2014.

Implementation of the Agriculture Plan

The Cayuga County Agriculture and Farmland Protection Board (AFPB) has been tasked with preparing an annual report that summarizes the current status of implementation of the Countywide Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan. These reports are prepared with the assistance of all of the County's partner agencies that are involved in the implementation of the agriculture plan including:

  • Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce
  • Cayuga County Department of Planning and Economic Development
  • Cayuga County Farm Bureau
  • Cayuga County Health Department
  • Cayuga County Office of Tourism

  • Cornell Cooperative Extension of Cayuga County
  • Finger Lakes Culinary Bounty
