Wearing claw clips has become so on-trend, and it makes sense. They can be incredibly chic and add a certain effortlessness to any outfit, while also being practical. You can use them to throw your hair up when you're on the run and even keep flyaways out of your face.
Even better is how simple it is to incorporate them into any hairstyle. After all, they arrive in a wide range of designs, from the standard to ones that look like butterflies or flowers. You might be thinking that there aren't many claw clip hairstyles to achieve. This isn't the case at all—and we have the proof. With the help of two pro hairstylists, we've curated a list of different ways you can wear claw clips.

The Modified French Twist
The modified French twist is one of, if not the most, popular claw clip hairstyles because of how simple it is to achieve. "Make sure you use a large claw clip that holds all of your hair," Rubenstein says. She suggests smoothing a pomade over the hairline and top layer of hair, "so the look is chic, polished, and not messy."
Cascading Curls
To achieve this look, gather your curls into a loose bun, secured by a claw clip. Allow pieces of hair to fall from the clip and frame your face for an effortless and chic look.
Secure a Messy Bun
Opt for a patterned clip to upgrade your messy bun. "Create a ponytail wherever you want your bun to be anchored, twist the hair, mist hairspray over your twist, wrap it into a bun, and use a couple smaller claw clips to secure bun to head," Rubenstein explains.
Half-Back Style
A claw clip is a chic, easy way to do a half-back style, so it only makes sense to add it into your rotation. "This look is feminine, easy, and romantic," Rubenstein says.
Riley's method is simple: Just drag your open clip from one side of your head and close it on the other side to create a half-up look.
Clipped Up Twists
Have braids or twists? Gather your hair into a claw clip for a look that's both pretty and pragmatic.
Loose Braid
Yes, a braid already looks fabulous on its own. But, why not add in a claw clip to make it more interesting? Whether you're going for a classic braid or fancy fishtail, your hair will look even more complete with the addition of the accessory. Plus, it'll also keep the braid super secure.
Low Pony
Can't find your scrunchie this morning? No need to worry. Depending on the thickness of your hair, you can pull it together with a claw clip. Just make sure to use a larger version of the accessory to seamlessly grab and hold onto your strands.
Relaxed Updo
Loosely gather your hair into your claw clip for a low-tension, effortlessly cool updo.
The Low Twist
Chances are you're always game for a simple style. Enter: The low twist. Create a loose bun toward the nape of your neck, twist up the excess hair, and clip. It'll add some much needed variety and uniqueness.
Side Braided Clip
Position your braided style to the side of your head and secure it with a clip. Play with different colors and shapes of the accessory to change up the vibe of the look.
Clip Creatively
Sometimes you have no idea how to style your hair—and that's completely okay. For this style, just add claw clips in different locations along the lengths of your hair for a look that's so 'grammable.
Half-Up With Braids
Adding braids will change your half-up hairstyle completely. Create the braids along the loose part of your hairdo. You can switch it up by changing the thickness of the braids or amount of them you incorporate into the style.
The More, The Merrier
The limit does not exist for how many claw clips you can put into your hair, so why not add a whole bunch of them? Add them to braids or ponytails to change up the style, and don't be afraid to switch up the colors, styles, and sizes of your clips.
Half Up Messy Bun
Use a claw clip to create a half up style and loop the hair you pull up into a bun. Bonus points if you opt for a flower claw clip like the one pictured.
