BridgeClimb recognised as top exporter at the 2007 Australian Export Awards
BridgeClimb Sydney won the ‘Sports, Events and Tourism Award’ at the 2007 Australian Export Awards last night, Thursday 22nd November, at the Brisbane Convention Centre.
This award recognises BridgeClimb’s export performance in the inbound tourism sector, as well as their important contribution to the economy through job creation and increased prosperity for the community.
BridgeClimb’s Managing Director, Mr. Todd Coates, accepted the award and said, “This award is testament to the strong commitment of all BridgeClimb team members in the delivery of an unforgettable Sydney experience to visitors from all over the world”.
“It is overwhelming to be recognised in the ‘Sports, Events and Tourism’ category amongst the inspiring company of the finalists here tonight who also contribute significantly to Australian tourism.”
Mr. Coates also recognised BridgeClimb’s key partners in the export business including the Australian Tourism Export Council, Tourism NSW, Sydney Convention and Visitors Bureau and Tourism Australia.
BridgeClimb was the first tourism operator on a bridge anywhere in the world when the company opened in October 1998. Since commencing operation BridgeClimb has seen extraordinary growth in both domestic and international visitors. To date, BridgeClimb has welcomed over 2 million Climbers with Climbs available at dawn, during the day, twilight or at night.
