AAUW invites trivia event participation

BRAINERD — The Brain Buster trivia event, the Brainerd Lakes Area AAUW branch’s signature annual fundraiser, will be Jan. 18, at First Lutheran Church, 424 S.Eighth St., in Brainerd. The event starts at 2 p.m. with registration from 1-1:45 p.m.

Teams of up to six people are invited to reserve a table for $90 and engage in friendly competition solving a series of trivia questions on popular culture to historical events and more. A team costume contest, prizes and refreshments add to the fun of this interactive community event.

Parkinson’s Disease Support Group to meet

BAXTER — The Brainerd Lakes Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group meeting will be 1 p.m. Jan. 2, at Lord of Life Church, 6190 Fairview Drive, Baxter.

There will be two facilitated discussion groups, one for care partners and one for people with Parkinson’s.

Veterans Coffee Patriot Grounds

BAXTER — All military veterans and significant others are invited to free coffee and donuts at monthly gatherings to connect, communicate and network.
