Oprah’s 2024 ‘Favorite Things’ list is here, just in time for buyers to start their holiday shopping.
From cozy cardigans to delicious cheese sets, the guide has something for everyone. Oprah Daily’s ‘Favorite Things’ places an emphasis on small businesses and women-, BIPOC-, and LGBTQ-owned companies. With 116 handpicked products and eight gift categories — stylish, cozy, kids and family, kitchen, tech, beauty, food, and wellness — Oprah’s list features five businesses with local ties.
Annie Selke’s Fab Faux Throw ($158) is “beyond soft and looks great,” Winfrey wrote. This snug double-sided blanket comes in four different colors: ivory, sand, mineral, and olive. It’s perfect “draped over a sofa, a bed — or your favorite person who’s always cold.” The business is based in Pittsfield.
WS Game Company’s Vintage Bookshelf collection offers a variety of fun and classic board games, all designed to fit in perfectly on your bookcase. Stowed in cute and colorful boxes, the games range from Monopoly to Chutes and Ladders. “I enjoy Scrabble. Gayle likes Mystery Date. Trust us — the game lovers in your life will appreciate these handsome compact versions that look terrific on bookshelves,” wrote Winfrey, whose favored Scrabble is $39. WS Game Company is based in Manchester-by-the-Sea.
Chocolate Therapy by Sweet Remedies’ Trio Nut Bark Collection ($49) includes three delicious types: dark chocolate with almonds, milk chocolate with cashews, and white chocolate with pistachios. “Perfection in three-inch squares!” Winfrey wrote. “Yum!” The married duo behind these handmade treats is based out of Wayland.
Ninja’s CREAMi Deluxe 11-in-1 Ice Cream and Frozen Treat Maker ($219.93) is perfect for the sweet-treat-lovers in your life. With an XL capacity, the appliance comes with two family-sized tubs. Winfrey wrote, “If you scream for ice cream—or sorbet, slushies, gelato, Italian ice, frozen yogurt—then this handy device is for you. Just three steps to a creamy, sweet treat.” Ninja’s headquarters are in Needham.
