January 15 – Great Backyard Bird Count
Discover the excitement of doing real science by joining the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC). Your students will love being part of something bigger when they observe birds and collect data for real-world scientists. Starting with this limited duration project is a great way to introduce your students to birding and participatory science. We’ll share resources, activities, and apps that make bird ID easy, and cover tips and tricks for leading bird walks.
