Researching scientists at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute (WTSI) in the UK have found a protein that assists in fertilization; helping the egg and sperm "recognize" each other.

Enrica Bianchi, researcher for the WTSI said:

"It is remarkable that about 20 percent of infertility cases have an unexplained cause."

This protein sits atop the surface of the egg and,

"interacts with another protein on the surface of a sperm cell, allowing the two cells to join."

Scientists who made the discovery are calling this protein in eggs Juno after the Rome goddess of fertility and marriage; and in sperm Izumo after a Japanese marriage shrine.

Gavin Wright, lead author of the study remarked:

"By identifying this interaction between Juno and Izumo, we now know the identity of the receptor proteins found on the surface of our fathers sperm and our mothers egg that must interact at the moment at which we were conceived."

Bianchi contends that it is possible that Juno and Izumo could be,

"involved in these cases of unexplained infertility."

The WTSI is dedicated to the,

"understanding of gene function in health and disease; as well as creating resources of lasting value to biomedical research."

In conjunction with the Human Genome Project (HGP), the WTSI focus on genetic research to combat cancer, malaria, diabetes, obesity, infectious diseases and genetic determination of disease propensity.

The contribution to this science made by the WTSI includes building on genetic sequences and,

"engage in biomedical research that elucidates the genetic basis of such common diseases as well as rare or neglected diseases."

The WTSI was founded in 1992 by the Sanger Institute, named after Margaret Sangers husband, Frederick.

Frederick was present at the opening of the WTSI campus in 1993 when it began as a small genome sequencing facility; which is now the largest facility of its kind across the globe.

Margaret Sanger, co-founder of Planned Parenthood was a eugenicist that believed that contraception could be used to manipulate the poor masses to voluntarily choose not to procreate.

Yet, in the even that those undesirables did become pregnant, Sanger promoted abortion as a cure.

Margaret was hailed in the publics eye as a courageous woman who stood up for womens rights however her goal was to assist the global Elite in depopulating the planet as quickly as possible.

Her contribution was the successful Planned Parenthood.

Dr. Clarence Gamble of Proctor and Gamble and James Hanes of the Hanes hosiery corporation were also supporters of eugenics. Hanes founded the Human Bettement League (HBL) that was solely devoted to the furtherance of the eugenics cause.
