Nah he hates water LOL which is weird for being 1/4 Lab

And bahahaha wow!
Yeah my poodles will NOT swim even though they’re supposed to be water dogs… oh well lol. Evie does love shallow water and is constantly wading in the pool but if you want either of them to actually swim then you’re not gonna get anywhere lol.

Lmaoooo yeah Brew will occasionally wade a tiny bit too especially if he sees other dogs doing it but he won’t actually swim. I tried once and he went vertical

We hiked today for a good while. I think I wore him out because he’s dead asleep in my lap now lol.

Posed like a pointer here

Todays tree count is well over ten… I stopped keeping track at some point lol. He usually climbs by getting a running start and leaping up to attach himself halfway up the trunk

I showed him the old cattle culvert since he loves tunnels so much.

He sauntered slowly behind whenever he wasn’t a mile ahead lol

We went down to the creek too where I found a 104 year old coke bottle wedged into the bed.

Didn’t get a ton of nice pics today since it was so cloudy but for once the weather was actually really cool which I enjoyed. He definitely loves it too, he’s been getting brisk with the air lol.

That is AWESOME!!!!!!

I’m thinking of taking Brew on a big walk/kind of hike at some point soon lol apparently they cleared the path to the trails finally and put brand new bog boards down so you can actually walk and it’s not in the mud or poison ivy/brush anymore LOL someone posted on FB last night about it. It looks really nice!!! So I’m thinking of going over there at some point. But I’ll probably keep him on a leash or the long line. Maybe not the 30 foot one though cause he can still get into trouble that way lol but maybe like the 15 foot one or something? Or just the normal 6 foot leash should be fine too. Idk. I just don’t really want him running off to play with 5 million other dogs anymore LOL he used to but it worries me now lol not cause of him but cause of them lol

I really wanna do the trail now but sunset is soon (like 10ish minutes) and then it gets dark soon after that so probably not a great idea lol so instead I’m thinking tomorrow early like 6am or even 5:30am lol but I might still try a tiny very short part of it today. Idk. We will see LOL

Was at a German Short Hair Pointer retrieval trial once. They had a machine that would toss a rubber duck out into a lake. When one handler released his dog the dog went charging into the lake. His momentum carried him about 20' out into the lake. Slowly he went vertical, flailing at the water and then he sank out of sight. His owner dove in clothes and all to rescue him. Guess he failed that test.

Oh wow!!! That’s so scary!!!!

We didn’t do the trail cause I got started way too late… shocking, I know.

Anyway, we’ll start it in the morning. At 6. Not 5:30. That’s way too early.
