ROGERS -- Police have arrested a Bella Vista man in connection with placing hidden cameras in his ex-wife's home, putting trackers on her vehicle and electronic devices and sending her harassing and threatening communications.

Rogers police arrested David Wayne Mullican Jr., 50, in connection with first-degree stalking, residential burglary, nonfinancial identity fraud and terroristic threatening, all felonies, according to a probable cause affidavit. He was also arrested in connection with misdemeanor harassing communications, unlawful distribution of sexual images or recordings, computer trespass and criminal trespass.

Mullican has not been arraigned in Benton County Circuit Court, according to court records. He was released from the Benton County Detention Center on Dec. 19 on $30,000 bond.

Mullican was arrested Dec. 17 after Kristi Mullican reported he had been sending her harassing text messages, following her and her friend, listening to her through trackers on her vehicle and placing hidden cameras around her house.

Kristi Mullican told police she and David Mullican had been divorced since 2018, but he had harassed and stalked her in the years since.

She told police she picked up a friend at the airport Dec. 12 and went to her residence and several stores in Rogers, according to the affidavit. David Mullican began texting her while she and her friend were at various locations, telling her what the two were talking about and what they were wearing. The next morning, David Mullican had texted Kristi about the conversation she was having with her friend in the living room at her home, according to the affidavit.

Kristi Mullican told police she feared for her the safety of both herself and her friend, the affidavit states.

Kristi Mullican told police she had installed cameras of her own and captured video of David Mullican crawling around her yard on his hands and knees, coming to her door while she was inside and walking into her garage from an inside door, according to the affidavit. Kristi Mullican told police David did not have a key to her house but accessed it through a kitchen window or the garage door opener.

Kristi Mullican told police neighbors sent her pictures of David's pickup parked on her street. She said he would text her and ask about people who visited her.

David Mullican also texted Kristi Mullican threatening to rape her and have other men rape her, according to the affidavit. Kristi Mullican also told police a person had told her they had been paid by David Mullican to follow her.

Kristi Mullican told police David Mullican had previously admitted placing cameras in her home and an AirTag tracker on her car, according to the affidavit. He also came into her home when she was asleep or gone and moved items around, the affidavit states. She told police she had found cameras in a smoke detector and electrical outlets.

Kristi Mullican claimed David Mullican had been using GPS trackers on her car, hidden cameras and a keystroke tracker on her laptop, according to the affidavit. David also moved money around in her back accounts, Kristi Mullican told police.

Kristi Mullican told police she had filed charges against David in the past but dropped them due to fear of retaliation.

Kristi Mullican showed police about 30 harassing and degrading messages she received from David Mullican using three different phone numbers, according to the affidavit.

A judge has ordered David Mullican to have no contact with Kristi Mullican, according to court records.
