Parents Night Out

Drop the kids off at the HFV Wilson Community Center and take care of some last-minute shopping or enjoy a date night on Parents Night Out. The event will be from 6 to 11 p.m., Friday for kids aged five to 12 years old. The cost is $25 per child. There will be holiday crafts, games and gym activities with pizza and soda provided. The center is located at 625 E. Main St. in Ardmore.

Back to yesteryear

Ardmore Parks and Rec will host a Country Christmas Dec. 21. The event will feature horse-drawn wagon rides, and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause as you make smores and crafts. Tickets are $20 and limited. For additional information, visit the Parks and Rec Facebook page.

Take up disc golf

Dress warm and spin the discs with Ardmore’s best. A Chili Night of Disc Golf will be at 5 p.m., Saturday at Broadlawn Park. Buy in for the glow mini event for $15 with a chance at the ace pot. Tee time will be at 6 p.m. Show up early for Frito pie. The event is hosted by the Ardmore Disc Golf Club. You do not have to be a member to participate.

Holiday Hangover Tour

Take in a night of music at Heritage Hall. The Holiday Hangover Tour is coming to Ardmore featuring Casey Donahew Mike Ryan and Palmer Kennedy. The concert is at 7:30 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. General admission is $25 online at stubwire.com and $30 at the door on the day of the concert. Heritage Hall is located at 220 W. Broadway St. in Ardmore.

Candlelight service

Generations Church will host a Christmas Candlelight Service at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 22 in Central Park. Dress for the weather. There will be hot cocoa, coffee and treats provided.

A rare opportunity

One time at winter camp

The HFV Wilson Community Center will host a Winter Break Camp, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Dec. 30-31 and Jan. 2-3. The cost is $60 per child with $20 for each additional child.

Hike Lake Murray

Start off the year on a strong note Lake Murray State Park is offering free first day hikes on Jan. 1. People will meet at 1 p.m. at Pecan Grove to hike the Anadarche Creek/Lake Shore Trial. The length of the hike is 1.6 miles and is rated moderate. Guests should bring a water bottle, camera and binoculars. Parking fees will be waived.
