Mom's Trick for Ensuring Maine Coon Cat Behaves Himself Has People in Stitches
If you've been trying to figure out a way to get your cat to listen, take a page out of one woman's book. The Maine Coon Cat mama was getting real tired of her cat going after the other cats in the house during meal times. So she came up with a silly way to get the cat to back off. And we can't stop taco-ing about it.
Ever wonder what to do with those old pet Halloween costumes? The pet owner found a funny way to repurpose them when disciplining her Maine Coon Cat.
Mac is a troublemaker. The Maine Coon couldn't leave his fur-siblings alone. Which is why the woman came up with her brilliant idea. Old Halloween costume plus one rowdy cat equals the perfect way to reign in his worst instincts.

"He gets a taco costume put on him," the cat owner explained. "I call it the taco time out."
The costume is the perfect thing to keep the Maine Coon Cat's arms by his side. He might complain about it, but there's no way he can reach the other cats. So we'd call this tactic delightfully brilliant.
Commenters were cracking up. "NOT THE SHELL OF SHAME," wrote one person. "Imagine explaining this process to the cat sitter lololol," chimed in a second person. "I put a baby shirt on mine after the vet once and she became instantly submissive. The vets should be telling people these things lol," teased one commenter. "I use an avocado toast costume for my youngest cat when he cannot be reigned in otherwise," someone else shared.
Aggression Between Cats
Despite your best intentions, sometimes there can be aggression between your cats. There are lots of reasons why this is! For one, some cats are naturally more aggressive than others. Fights can also break out between animals that haven't been spayed or neutered and cats tend to be territorial. So be mindful of that when bringing any new animals home.
There are ways to ease tensions, however. Your cats aren't destined to fight! The simplest and best way to prevent fighting is by spaying or neutering your animal. You can also make sure that your cats have plenty of places to run to or hide. Different perches in the home means that your cats will have their own spaces to cool off. Introduce your new cat slowly to your current pet to try and prevent fighting from happening.
You can also try the taco time out method. Hey — if it works, it works.
