Horse's Gentle Sniffs While Meeting Baby Donkey Are So Full of Sweetness
There's no pride greater for a new parent than introducing your baby to your friends. And that's true for animal owners too. One woman couldn't wait to introduce her baby donkey to another animal her property — her prized pet horse. And the meeting between the two is so incredibly gentle and sweet.
Animals have such a special way of communicating with each other. Like the way that the horse welcomed the new donkey to the world.
The horse really wanted to get up close and personal with the donkey in the footage. Who could blame him? The baby donk was positively precious. He looked like something out of a movie. We can hardly believe he was real. Maybe the horse was also checking to see if the foal was real because he was sniffing around the animal, trying to take the baby in. Something tells us that this horse is going to love this baby so much.

Commenters had fallen for the baby donkey too. "He’s saying bring the baby back here," teased one person. "This is perfection and I love it!!!" another commenter cheered. "Frosty is so cute. He doesn't seem scared. The horse is gentle with him. Beautiful horse," praised one person. "Awwwww," one commenter gushed.
Can Horses and Donkeys Get Along?
Though they might look similar, no one would confuse a donkey for a horse. They're really different animals! The two can both be raised in a pasture, however. Which is why many people wonder if these two can be kept together as pets or if donkeys and horses get along.
First, you should note the differences between the animals. Donkeys tend to be more cautious and are less reactive than horses are. Which can be a good thing. When horses get spooked they tend to run, but your donkeys won't sprawl out like horses do.
They have different space needs too. They both can graze in the pasture, but horses will need more space than donkeys do so they can roam. Horses are more active than donkeys are, so again they need the space to exercise.
If you are going to raise horses and donkeys, be prepared for some resource guarding. They can be territorial over food, water, and shelter, which might cause them to fight. Both horses and donkeys are social creatures, but keep in mind that donkeys are happiest with other donkeys. So don't keep a single donkey with a herd of horses because they won't be happy.
Ultimately horses and donkeys can be raised together. Just be mindful so these sweet creatures don't step on each other's toes.
