Feisty Calico Cat Keeps Spirited Cattle Dog Brother in Check Like a Total Boss

You never know what you're going to get when you bring home a dog and a cat. They could be best friends or be the worst of enemies. One pet owner had some serious reservations about bringing home a puppy to their calico cat. But nothing could've prepared the person for what their relationship became.

He might be small now, but in a few short months the person's Australian Cattle Dog is going to tower over their cat. Which really had them concerned for the cat's safety.

It's not just the size of the pup that's concerning. It's how much energy the little Australian Cattle Dog has too. But the pet owner shouldn't have worried. Not one bit.

"Getting a puppy and worrying he might hurt the cat when he gets bigger," they wrote in the text overlay. A very valid concern that many other pet owners share. Except for one thing...their calico cat isn't a slouch.

The footage shows the cat positively handling her new Cattle Dog brother. Um, yeah. We sort of don't think there's anything for you to worry about here.

"She keeps him in line," the cat owner joked.

Unfortunately, no one in the comments section was surprised by how things turned out. "She’s a calico, I had my money on her the second I saw her lol," one person wrote. "My roommate has a 55 lbs. Aussie and I have an 11 lbs. black cat. He bows down to her and is terrified of her," someone else shared. "The only animal my Blue Heeler is afraid of.. is our cat," chimed in someone else. "One thing I’ve learned having dogs and cats…the cat ALWAYS wins," added another person.

Most Aggressive Cat Breeds

Thankfully, the fighting between these two is all in good fun. But it does show that some cats can handle themselves in a fight. Some breeds are better at this than others. So if you've ever wondered, here are some cat breeds that are aggressive.

Siamese cats are so beautiful, but they can be little fighters too. Known for being very territorial, Siamese Cats will get jealous easily if you have other pets. So be patient, they may not warm up to other animals in the house.

Sphynx cats have a lot of energy. When that energy isn't channeled properly, they can lash out.

Bombay cats have a lot of positive qualities— restraint isn't one of them. Like the Sphynx cat, they tend to get a little aggressive when they aren't given enough attention.

Thankfully, a lot of this aggression can be addressed through behavior modification. But you might want to keep your dogs away from these little fighters — just in case.
